a) Double hand weapon: Level one of the traditional Lusitan system for combat in outnumbered scenarios and one against one;
- Techniques for combat against multiple opponents: forward and backward sweeps;
- Application of the previous contents against two opponents;
- Tactical behavior to initiate sparring against two opponents;
- Strikes used in one on one combat: oblique descending, oblique ascending, horizontal, vertical descending and thrust;
- Parries for the previous named strikes, including hand protection against the vertical descending strike;
- Long range offensive and defensive stepping technique;
- Offensive and defensive distance management skill;
- Drills for the development of parrying skill application (applying parries against random strikes);
- Striking speed and parrying timing and distance;
- Follow through and double attack sequences;
- Feints;
- Natural and opportune counter attacks.
b) Single hand weapon: Level one traditional Lusitan system for combat in outnumbered scenarios and one against one;
- Techniques for combat against multiple opponents: forward sweep;
- Techniques for combat against multiple opponents: rotational backward sweep;
- Techniques for combat against multiple opponents: direct backward sweep;
- Application of the previous contents against two opponents;
- Tactical behavior to initiate sparring against two opponents;
- Reversing the forward sweep;
- Strikes used in one on one combat: oblique descending, oblique ascending, horizontal, vertical descending and thrust;
- Parries for the previous named strikes;
- Short range offensive and defensive stepping technique;
- Offensive and defensive distance management skill;
- Drills for the development of parrying skill application (applying parries against random strikes);
- Striking speed and parrying timing and distance;
- Follow through and double attack sequences;
- Opportune counter attacks
c) Special historical fencing program: Analysis and practice of the different historical stages in the development of the parries in the double hand weapon traditional combat system in one on one combat;
- Oblique descending, oblique ascending and horizontal strikes;
- In motion guards derived from the guards used in sparring against several opponents;
- Tactical waiting guards with the weapon pointing backwards for the in motion guards;
- Limitations of the in motion guards;
- Direct parries with specialization on one parry;
- Limitations of parry specialization;
- Direct parries without parry specialization;
- Limitations of the direct parries without specialization;
- Short space parries and strikes, and specific waiting guard position.
d) Special Self defense program: Level one self defense application of one hand weapons for self defense scenarios
- Strikes: oblique ascending and descending, horizontal, vertical descending and thrusts;
- Initial distance management;
- Short range tactics;
- Distance management skills against non cooperative opponents (opponents trying to kick, punch and / or grapple);
- Follow through and double attack sequences;
- Forward sweep on both sides and their application against two opponents;
- Tactical principles and scenarios in initiating combat against two opponents;
- Backwards sweep;
- Application of the previous technique against two opponents;
- Using the backward sweep to reverse the forward sweep.
SPECIAL NOTE:
Those who attain approval in this first program, will have access to the second degree Special Self defense program using one hand weapons, which will include the following more advanced contents:
- Tactical strikes against opponents with knives;
- Combat tactics against three or four opponents;
- Combat against five of more opponents;
- Combat tactics teamwork in outnumbered scenarios: two against five or more opponents.
